Four ways to solve the problem of magnetic strip does not work:

1. Use a hair dryer on hot air against the layer of air bag in the center of the seal until the seal fits flat against the refrigerator; 2. If the door seal does not have good magnetic properties, pour some vegetable oil on a paper towel and apply it to the seal near the door hinge from top to bottom, then close the door. 3. Spread a thin coat of petroleum jelly along the sealing surface of the door gasket to help the new gasket seal properly. 4. Close the door and check the fit. The door gasket should fit tightly against the cabinet and door with no gaps showing.Then secure it with tape for 12 hours.

Be sure when you’re measuring your gasket to measure from outside edge to outside edge at the corners, both width and length.
